Hiding the poor with multi-million dollar stadiums

Most would think that if the biggest touring event in the world comes to your country you would be happy. It would bring massive amounts of business, it would jump start any economy... However this is not the case in Brazil.

In 2005 the GDP of Brazil  was a low five hundred billion dollars, in 2013 it is sitting right around two point 5 trillion dollars. Showig that the wold cup has be only helping the country on the finaccal frount.
Yet people have not been able to stop fighting over the matter. Even FIFA is fighting with the country of Brazil non stop over the delayed progress of the stadium.

It seams like the bottom line is that the people are poor and the country is poor and instead of spending this mass of capital on the people and bettering their lives. The Government is spending twenty six billion dollars alone on buildings.

However we could look at all of this as an investment to the country itself. With everybody traveling to Brazil all at once. It will give Brazil a chance to show off what they have and use this to make more money and possible turn the country around on an economic standpoint.
